Preparing for an Active Shooter & De-Escalation Techniques for Workplace Violence

Preparing for an Active Shooter & De-Escalation Techniques for Workplace Violence

Thursday, August 25, 2022 (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

Emergencies involving violence are unfortunately a real possibility in today's workplace.

De-escalating a conflict before it gets to a regrettable level is the goal of all reasonable interactions.  However, not every disagreement will end with the aggressor(s) calmly walking away and could result in a workplace violence situation, such as an active shooter on the premises.

Knowing the proper procedures to follow during an emergency could mean the difference between life and death.
