From the Desk of Executive Director Bryon Short - April 7, 2023
While I was in Legislative Hall testifying on Ready in 6 legislation this past Wednesday, many of our members were enjoying a beautiful day at DCA’s 2023 Annual Spring Clay Shoot. Dozens of DCA members had the opportunity to spend time with their customers, employees and friends while enjoying a little friendly competition.
M & M Hunting Preserve always makes this event challenging but fun for all. Once again, DiPaolo’s Italian Restaurant provided delicious food accompanied by cold beer and other drinks. We greatly appreciate the generous support of our sponsors Johnson Controls and Rinker Materials for making this event a success.
In addition to our sponsors, we want the participants to know that their support is appreciated as well. Mike Sheats, Heritage Concrete, was the event’s High Score Winner with 43. Congratulations to Mike who has been the high scorer for our past two spring clay shoots! Dave Twardowski, I.D. Griffith, was Runner-up.
Thanks to everyone who made this year’s DCA Spring Clay Shoot a success. DCA has an active calendar with networking events, training and educational classes and advocacy meetings. Our next event is just around the corner as we recognize our members for putting the safety of their workers and the public first at our 2023 Governor’s Safety Awards Dinner! This year’s dinner will be Thursday, April 27, at the Waterfall Banquet Center. If you have not yet registered for the dinner, please contact Marla at mdisalvo@e-dca.org. We are looking forward to seeing you!
