51^st Annual Crab Feast Part Two: I usually write one comprehensive Punchlist article on our annual Crab Feast but given the blow (pun intended) last week’s windstorm delivered the evening before the event and the extra effort so many unsung heroes put in to put the site back together, I wanted to dedicate last week’s report just to our volunteers. Having done that, this week, I want to make sure our sponsors are recognized and know how much their support means to DCA.

The day was pretty darn hot, but no one complained. While the DJ kept the beats going, everyone spent the evening socializing, eating crabs and Timothy’s buffet, and enjoying some cold beverages! We had a very strong attendance and went through 120 bushels of crabs, over 1,000 BBQ sandwiches and countless cold beers. The Crab Feast T-shirts, which are always designed by the DCA Young Executive Committee, sold out in record time!

As with any big event, there are many to be thanked for making it possible. First, I want to thank Nicholas J. Ferrara III., Greggo and Ferrara, for the continued generous donation of his property to hold the event. Second, a special thank you must be extended to our Event Sponsors Eastern Highway Specialist and Cassidy Painting and our Equipment Sponsors Active Crane Rentals and Gillespie Precast who made the approach over the bridge spectacular. We are also very grateful to the 21 beverage sponsors who made sure no one went thirsty.
