When most people think of NASA they are envisioning rocket launches but for those of us in the construction industry NASA has a different meaning. The 2021 National AGC Safety Awards (NASA) Program was a great success this year with over 1,500 general contractor, specialty and associate members across the nation participating. The NASA program has been an ongoing effort since 1991 offering AGC members a means to evaluate their safety records. The NASA compares an AGC member’s safety record with other AGC members according to the member size and construction type.

DCA had a record number of members submitting their 2021 safety records for consideration by the NASA Program this past spring. We also saw a record number of DCA members receiving NASA Certificates of Commendation for having achieved a zero-incident rate or an incident rate of 25% below their division’s average.
