Although the weather was plenty hot, a nice breeze made DCA’s Summerfest 2023 at the Chesapeake Inn a perfect summer event. Lots of delicious food lined our private patio section while we enjoyed the staff’s bar service. With a good turnout of members, networking was laidback with lots of laughs. It was really nice seeing people move in and out of different groups, catching up and making new connections. We had a nice mix of Contractor members and Associate members.

DCA prides itself on having an event for everyone’s interests and needs. I was pleased to connect with a lot of new people from our members’ companies as we mingled in front of the marina. Our diverse events are made possible through the hard work of the Special Events Committee, Chaired by Keith Baker of Tri-Supply & Equipment, and the generous support of event sponsors. DCA has picked up a lot new members this year and it’s particularly great seeing them build their businesses at our networking events. Khristian Toolan of Jan-Pro Cleaning and Disinfecting, a new DCA member, was right at home as she connected with the attendees. You’ll hear it a hundred times from staff and your fellow DCA members, to get the most out of your DCA membership, you’ve got to get involved. What more fun way of getting involved is there than attending networking events like Summerfest. Don’t forget, our biggest event of the year is less than a month away – DCA’s 50^th Annual Crab Feast.
