Last week, DCA celebrated the best in construction at our 54^th Annual Dinner meeting. Our members took the opportunity to gather at the Chase Center on the Riverfront with their teams, customers, and guests to recognize unique construction projects and the exceptional skill and creativity the Construction Excellence Award winners bring to their work!

We were very pleased to honor Tony Rizzo, Joseph Rizzo and Sons Construction Co., with DCA’s Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of his decades of leadership in the construction industry. Tony has been involved in some of the state’s most significant construction projects. He has been a staunch supporter of DCA and our mission. It was great seeing so many of his family members with him for this well-earned recognition.

Andrew Bianchino, WSFS, was our 2024 Dickie Award winner for his outstanding volunteer service to DCA. As noted in Adam DiSabatino’s, EDIS, remarks, Andrew is always ready to support DCA at any opportunity. Among the noted services is his recent appointment to chair of the DCA Special Events Committee as longtime chair Keith Baker steps back. We neglected to point out that Andrew has been the “voice” of the video portion of the Construction Excellence Awards for years. Another volunteer contribution we greatly appreciate.

As always, the DCA Special Events Committee worked hard to put together a great evening including a Super Bowl winner as our keynote speaker. Former Eagles linebacker, Seth Joyner, shared his football experiences and the general applicability of career lessons learned. His rise through the sport and how he kept his nose to the grindstone through adversity to be able to bounce back when opportunity presented itself.
