Established in 1989, the John J. McMahon, Jr. Scholarship is one of the ways DCA supports the future of the construction industry. Under the leadership of Chair Greg Sawka, Bancroft Construction, with support from the DCA Scholarship Committee and a lot of work from Jamie Chambers, outreach to potential recipients and improvements in the application process has really grown student interest and applications over the past two years. The scholarship opportunity is open to DCA member company interns, employees and family members of employees whose higher education studies are related to the field of construction.

This year the committee reviewed 18 applications and made 6 scholarship awards. DCA’s membership is proud to support the following students through John McMahon Scholarships as they move towards being future leaders in the construction industry:
