As Memorial Day approaches later this month, the Delaware Contractors Association takes a moment to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation. We extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans—especially those within our industry—for their unwavering dedication and sacrifice. Their commitment not only safeguards our freedoms but also enriches our communities and workplaces.

This solemn time also calls us to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country. We pay tribute to these heroes and extend our heartfelt sympathy to the families they left behind. Their legacy is a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom and our shared responsibility to honor and support those who continue to serve.

To further our commitment, DCA is proud to host a special event in partnership with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) on Wednesday, May 21 at 8:00 a.m. in our boardroom. This “Briefings with the Boss” informative session will help employers understand how to better support their employees who serve in the Guard or Reserve. With many service members already in the construction workforce, it’s essential we provide the flexibility and encouragement they need to succeed in both roles.

We encourage all DCA members and partners to attend this important event. Whether you currently employ Guard or Reserve members or want to be prepared to do so in the future, this briefing is an excellent opportunity to learn and lead.
